GMCC recently completed three nights of novice play at Cairns Arena in South Burlington. 40 players participated, of which 35 were non-GMCC members. Most of the players had participated in the Howard Center Curling Challenge fundraiser from March. We could not have held this series without the exceptional generosity of Cairns Arena, who left the curling ice markings on the ice, worked with us to offer discounted rates, and worked very hard to make the ice very playable. By the many smiles it appeared everyone enjoyed themselves. We hope many of these now veteran curlers will join GMCC this coming season. Check out the pictures here. |

The
Green Mountain Curling Club is a group of curlers and fans bringing
curling into the state of Vermont. In our early years, we curled at the
Border Curling Club just over the border in Stanstead, Quebec, but in 2006 we were very pleased to bring curling to the LARC ice arena in Morrisville, VT and curled there for three seasons.
Unfortunately, we no longer have an agreement with the arena in
Morrisville, so we're currently searching for a new home for the
2009-2010 season, and are looking forward to another strong year of
curling in Vermont!
In 2005, we achieved official status as a 501(c)(3) public charity!
Our purpose is to promote local, regional national and international
competition in the sport of curling and to prepare people for such
competition.

At our recent Green Mountain Curling Club Board meeting, the Board
members voted on and passed new membership categories. The intent is
to offer a variety of membership categories to provide our members
with a flexible and affordable dues schedule consistent with the
operating needs of the club. After reviewing, should you decide to
change the level of your current membership you will need to notify
Connie Dollinger (GMCC Treasurer) BY DECEMBER 10, 2008.
For more information, please see our membership information page.
